Ladder Truck Responds To Working Fire In Teaneck

At 1954 hrs, Alert Fire Co. No. 1 was toned out for a still response for a mutual aid call to the Township of Teaneck. Ladder 742 was requested to the scene of a working fire located at 71 Ayers Court. Deputy Chief Polandick responded with the ladder to the scene. The members were instructed to perform overhaul on the 1st floor of the structure. 742 operated on scene for approximately 60 minutes before returning to the Borough. Englewood’s Engine 1 responded into the scene as well while a Bogota Engine and Ridgefield Park truck covered the Township.

Rescue Goes Mutual Aid To Dumont

On Tuesday April 11, 2006 at 1404 hrs, Rescue 746 was requested to the scene of a working house fire in the Borough of Dumont. Chief Hartung (740) responded with the rescue to the scene. Career Lieutenant Jim Kirsch was the officer on the rig and upon their arrival; the crew was instructed to assist Dumont units with overhaul. The fire was located in the bathroom and walls on the second floor of a home located at 146 Magnolia Ave. Bergenfield was released and back in service by 1515 hrs.

Ladder Takes In Another Mutual Aid Call To Teaneck

On Tuesday April 11, 2006 at 1954 hrs, Bergenfield’s ladder truck was requested to respond on a mutual aid assignment to the Township of Teaneck. Deputy Chief Polandick (D1) responded with the ladder to Teaneck Fire Headquarters on Teaneck Road. Lieutenant Mike Lopez was in charge of the ladder crew which remained in quarters to cover the township. The Teaneck FD was operating at a working fire. The ladder was released from Teaneck at 2034 hrs.

Ladder Responds Mutual Aid To New Milford

About 16:20 hours, the Bergenfield FD was requested to send a ladder to a house fire on Pleasant Drive in New Milford. NMFD found a heavy smoke condition in the basement and began stretching attack lines. While responding, Oradell's 21 Truck, originally the FAST team,was reassigned as the 1st due truck and Bergenfield was then designated as the FAST team. Upon arrival, 742's crew stood by as the FAST team. Approximately 60 minutes later, 742 returned to the Borough.
