Fire Hits The Bergenfield FD Family

Posted on November 24, 2009

On Sunday afternoon, the Ridgefield Fire Department was dispatched on a reported basement fire.  Upon their arrival they found a 2 family home with heavy fire showing.  All of the occupants were able to get safely out of the structure without injuries.  The Ridgefield FD along with mutual aid from Palisades Park, Fort Lee, Fairview, Cliffside Park and North Hudson FD battled the blaze, but the home was total loss.

Bergenfield career firefighter Marlon Sahai and his family were the occupants of the home and they have lost everything.  The members of the Bergenfield Volunteer Fire Department and Local 65 are working together to collect funds for Marlon and his family.

If you would like to help out we are accepting gift cards, cash or checks to be given to Marlon and his family.  If giving a check. Please make it out the Local 65 in care of Marlon Sahai.

Marlon is a volunteer firefighter in Ridgefield and in the near future the Bergenfield and Ridgefield fire departments will be working on a fundraiser to support Marlon and his family.  Please check back for updates.

All of the members of the Bergenfield Fire Department would like to thank you in advance for any assistance you can give our brother.
